COVID-19 Preparedness Plan

The Mankato Ballet Company takes the safety of its staff and students very seriously. Using the guidelines outlined by the Minnesota Department of Health and recommendations from the CDC we have generated our MBC COVID-19 Preparedness plan.

Most important for families to note is:

  • Studios and common areas will be deep cleaned daily
  • Studios common surfaces will be cleaned between classes
  • Temperature checks are at the discretion of the staff and instructors
  • Parents must drop off and leave the studio
  • All people over age 5 must enter the facility wearing a mask
  • Dancers over age 5 will remain masked while dancing
  • Instructors will remain masked
  • Dancers will be spaced and distanced during class
  • Dancers should come dressed with one small bag and a water bottle
  • Dancers should use the restroom before arriving
  • Dancers should not arrive more than 5-10 minutes before class
  • Dancers having classes in in Studio B, C, and D will exit the main lobby doors
  • Dancers having class in Studio A will be dismissed through the fire exit. Parents will want to wait outside those doors and a TA will assist dancers to parents
  • MDH is encouraging youth organizations to participate in regular COVID-19 testing every two weeks as another measure to prevent the spread of this highly infectious disease.  While this is not required it is another way to help stop the spread. COVID-19 Testing – Minnesota Dept. of Health (state.mn.us)
