Volunteering for Performances
Providing performance opportunities is a very important part of our mission. We spend a great deal of time planning and creating these productions for our dancers. Through the efforts of many, many volunteers, we offer an experience of a lifetime and an artistic experience few small communities enjoy.
We have many areas where parents can help prepare for performances. We rely on the help of our parents to make our performances successful and to keep them running smoothly. Costume projects are often left in the lobby for anyone that can do small sewing tasks. For those of you interested in sets and scenery please contact us by email. Additionally, we need many backstage volunteers during the performance. Please refer to sign up sheets when they appear at the studio and sign up for an area such as greenroom, runner, or concessions. We appreciate all the time our parents give to help us create a positive performance experience for our dancers.
Effective for our 2014 performances of “The Nutcracker” each family participating in the performance will have to volunteer for one duty. The family may choose their duty and which performance they volunteer for. Duties include:
Usher, Concessions, Flower Table, Gift Table, and Backstage Assistant
